يوسف بن عبد الغالب ابن هلال الإسكندري العلاف. كان عامياً، ولكن له النظم الحلو، وروى عنه الفضلاء، وكتبوا شعره. وتوفي - رحمه الله تعالى - في بلده سنة عشرين وسبع مئة. ومن شعره، وقيل إنه لابن الوحيد: وخضراء لا الحمراء تفعل فعلها ... لها وثباتٌ في الحشا وثباتُ تؤجج ناراً وهي في العين جنة ... وتعطيك طعم المرّ وهي نبات ومنه: كم قلت للحائك الظريف وفي ... يمينه طاقة يخلّصها هل لك في ردّ مهجةٍ لفتى ... ليس له طاقة يخلّصها
