محمد بن يونس بن فتيان الفاضل أبو زرعة الكناني المقدسي الشافعي. كان شاباً فهماً ذكياً، حفظ كتباً وتفنن، وقدم الى دمشق سنة أربعين وسبع مئة. وسمع من أبي العباس الجزري والمزي والذهبي، ونسخ ومهر. وتوفي - رحمه الله تعالى - سنة تسع وأربعين وسبع مئة في الطاعون. ومولده في حدود سنة خمس وعشرين وسبع مئة.
