محمد بن أبي الهيجاء بن محمد الأمير الفاضل عز الدين الهذباني الإبلي، متولي دمشق. قدم الشام شاباً، واشتغل، وجالس العز الضرير. وكان جيّد المشاركة في التاريخ والأدب والكلام.قال شيخنا الذهبي: وهو معروف بالتشيع والرفض، وكان شيخاً كردياً مهيباً، يلبس عمامة مدوّرة، ويرسل شعره على أكتافه. ولي دمشق وكان جيّد السياسة. توفي رحمه الله تعالى بالسوّادة التي في رمل مصر سنة سبع مئة. ومولده بإربل سنة عشرين وست مئة.
