    غازي بن خطلبا شهاب الدين الصرخدي ثم الدمشقي. أخبرني من لفظه شيخنا أثير الدين قال: كان المذكور جندياً ثم تصوف ثم استغل بالقاهرة وتعدل وقعد في الدكان يسترزق مع الشهود. وأنشدني لنفسه بباب المدرسة الفاضلية: فلولا حظوظ النفس ما كنت في الهوى ... أسيراً وفي بحر الهوى أنت غارق دع الكل والإخلاص إن كنت خالصاً ... وإياك والأوهام فهي العلائقإذا ما نظرت الخلق بالحق لن ترى ... سوى الحق إن الكل بالحق ناطق وأين السوى والغير إن كنت عارفاً ... سوى صور والسر في الكل فارق
