    عمر بن علي بن سالم بن صدقة تاج الدين أبو حفص اللخمي الإسكندري المالكي، المعروف بابن الفاكهاني. كان شيخاً فقيهاً مالكياً نحوياً، له ديانة وتصون ومصنفات. وقدم دمشق في شهر رمضان سنة إحدى وثلاثين وسبع مئة، بعد زيارته القدس، وتوجه منها إلى الحجاز، وحج ثلاث مرات. وسمع الترمذي والشفا على ابن طرخان، وقرأ القرآن على المكين الأسمر، وحضر دروس ابن المنير، وأقام بمصر سنين، ثم عاد إلى بلده. وتوفي في العشر الأول من جمادى الأولى سنة إحدى وثلاثين وسبع مئة. وشرح العمدة في الأحكام، وله مقدمة في النحو، وله نظم ونثر. وشرح العمدة في الأحكام، وله مقدمة في النحو، وله نظم ونثر.
