علي بن محمد بن غالب بن مري العدل الفقيه المحدث، كاتب الحكم، علاء الدين أبو الحسن ابن الإمام نصير الدين ابن القاضي كمال الدين الأنصاري الشافعي الدمشقي. روى الشاطبية بسماعه بقوله من الكمال الضرير. وسمع بدمشق من ابن عبد الدائم، وابن أبي اليسر، وعدة. وطلب الحديث، وقرأ النحو على ابن مالك، وقرأ كتباً وأجزاء. وكان يعرف نحواً وحساباً وشروطاً، وحصل من الشروط مالاً كثيراً. وتوفي رحمه الله تعالى في سابع صفر سنة خمس وعشرين وسبع مئة. ومولده سنة خمس وأربعين وست مئة.
