    علي بن عمر بن عبد الله ابن عمر بن يوسف بن يحيى بن عمر بن كامل المقدسي الأصل، الآباري، الشيخ الصالح علاء الدين أبو الحسن بن الخطيب نجيب الدين بن الخطيب محب الدين بن الخطيب الزاهد بقية السلف أبي حفص.سمع من جده لأبيه الخطيب عماد الدين داود وأخويه الضياء يوسف الموفق محمد، وهم أعمام والده، ومن النجيب نصر الله بن الصفار المحدث. حدث وسمع منه الطلبة. مرض آخر عمره مدة، وضعف وتغيرت أحواله، وانقطع بالكلية. وكان يؤذن ببيت الآبار. وتوفي رحمه الله تعالى في يوم الجمعة خامس شعبان سنة ثلاثين وسبع مئة. ومولده سنة سبع وأربعين وست مئة.
