عبد المحسن بن حسن ابن سليمان البارنباري جمال الدين. أخبرني من لفظه العلامة أثير الدين قال: رايته مراراً بالقاهرة ودمياط، وبمصر، وله نظم، منه ما أنشدني لنفسه بدمياط وهو: متى يا أهيل الحي أحظى بقربكم ... ويبلغ قلبي من لقائكم القصدا وترجع أيام تقضت على الحمى ... وتنجز ليلى من تواصلها الوعدا قال: وله أيضاً: منهج فخر الدين في حكمه ... وشرعه أقوم منهاج قد وسع الناس بأخلاقه ... فما له في الخلق من هاج
