عبد القادر بن محمد بن تميم الفقيه المحدث محيي الدين المقريزي، بالميم المفتوحة والقاف الساكنة والراء المكسورة وبعدها زاي، البعلبكي الحنبلي.سمع ببلده من زينب بنت كندي، وبدمشق من ابن عساكر، وابن القواس، وبمصر من البهاء بن القيم وسبط زيادة، وبحلب والحرمين. ونسخ وحصل، وجمع وأصل، وميز وفصل، وتفقه ودأب، وجد واجتهد في الطلب، وصار شيخ دار الحديث للبهاء بن عساكر، وكان بها يحاضر ويذاكر. ولم يزل على حاله إلى أن نزل في الجدث، وأنس أصحابه ما قدم بما حدث. وتوفي رحمه الله تعالى سنة اثنتين وثلاثين وسبع مئة، عن خمس وخمسين سنة أو نحوها.
