    بلال الطواشي الأمير حسام الدين أبو المناقب المغيثي الحبشي الجمدار الصالحي. كان لالا الملك الصالح علي بن المنصور قلاوون، ثم إن العادل كتبغا جعله يتحدث في أمر السلطان الملك الناصر محمد، وهو كبير الخدام المقيمين بالحرم النبوي. حدث بمصر ودمشق، وقرأ عليه الشيخ شمس الدين عدة أجزاء يرويها عن ابن رواج. كان حالك السواد، تام الشكل، يهيم من المعروف في كل واد، له بر وصدقات، وبذل في الخير ونفقات، وله أموال عظيمة، وغلمان على أوامره ونواهيه مقيمه، وله في الدول الحرمة الوافرة والوجاهة السافرة. حضر المصاف ورد، فأدركه أجله في سنة تسع وتسعين وست مئة فحمل إلى قطيا.
