بن علي الأمير عماد الدين بن الملك الأفضل بن الملك المؤيد. أحد أمراء الطبلخانات بحماة، تقدم ذكر جده الملك المؤيد صاحب حماة. وسيأتي ذكر والده الأفضل في المحمدّين في مكانه. كان شكلاً حسناً، وذا صورة تخجل الأقمار منها سناء وسنا، أشقر يتلألأ وجههكالبدر، ويحكي نبت عذاره زعفران الشعر، عليه خفر أولاد الملوك، وسلوكه في طريق التجمل والحشمة أحسن السلوك. ولم يزل على إمرته بحماة حتى اعتبط، وانحل من نظام حياته ما كان قد ربط. وتوفي - رحمه الله تعالى - شاباً، ولم يكمل الخمس والعشرين، والعشر الأواخر من ذي الحجة سنة ثمان وخمسين وسبع مئة. وكان قد حج في سنة خمس وخمسين وسبع مئة.
