أحمد بن عثمان بن مفرّج بن حامد الشيخ الصالح أبو العباس البعلبكي القيّم بلغ من العمر سبعاً وثمانين سنة، وكان شيخاً صالحاً، خدم المشايخ وسافر إلى العراق.قال شيخنا البرزالي: وروى لنا عن ابن المقير الأربعين للحاكم قرأتها ببعلبك، وسمع أيضاً من ابن رواحة في أول سنة إحدى وعشرين وست مئة وسمع من الشرف المرسي، وغيرهم، ولزم المسجد في آخر عمره والعبادة. وكان حسن السمت كثير المروءة، ديِّناً عفيفاً. توفي رحمه الله تعالى في ثالث شهر ربيع الآخر سنة تسع وتسعين وست مئة. أحمد بن عثمان
