    أحمد بن زكريا بن أبي العشائر الشيخ شهاب الدين أبو العباس المارديني. روى الجزء الثاني من مشيخة ابن سلمة عنه. وكان مقيماً بدمشق يصحب القاضيمحيي الدين بن الزكي وأولاده، وينتمي إلى ابن العربي. ثم إنه سافر في الجفل إلى القاهرة واستوطنها. قال شيخنا البرزالي: وأجاز لنا بدمشق، وتوفي - رحمه الله تعالى - بالفيوم في شهر رمضان سنة أربع عشرة وسبع مئة. ومولده سنة تسع وعشرين وست مئة بماردين. أنشدني شيخنا الحافظ فتح الدين بن سيد الناس قال: أنشدنا المذكور، قال: أنشدنا الزين الجوبان لنفسه: انظر إلى الشمس وقد عممت ... رؤس الهضاب الصلعِ بالأصفر كأنها في الجو قلاعةٌ ... وجاء فلاحٌ عليها خري
