أبو بكر بن عبد الحكم بن أبي العز العسقلاني المقرىء الرجل الصالح الزاهد مولده بحران في حدود سنة ٦٣٢ وسمع من الجمال البغدادي وغيره ذكره الذهبي في معجم شيوخه فقال تغير ذهنه بعد سماعنا منه بمدة وذلك قبل موته بعامين وآواه أولاد أخته توفي في ذي الحجة سنة ثلاث عشرة وسبعماية ثم أخرج عنه حديثا١٢١ -[خ ٤]
