    ماعز، قال (موسى بن اسمعيل نا - 1) هاشم (2) ابن القاسم سَمِعت الجعيد بْن عَبْد الرَّحْمَن أن عَبْد اللَّه (3) بْن ماعز (4) حدثه أن ماعزا أتى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فكتب لَهُ كتابا أَنَّ مَاعِزًا أَسْلَمَ آخِرَ قَوْمِهِ وَأَنَّهُ لا يَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ إِلا إِيَّاهُ (5) فَبَايَعْتُهُ (6) عَلَى ذَلِكَ.
