[٨٤٤٠] عَمْرُو بنُ عَبَسَةَ (¬١)، أَبو نَجِيحٍ، السُّلميُّ (¬٢). قَالَ عَبدُ اللَّهِ: عنْ مُعاويةَ، عنْ سُليمِ بنِ عامِرٍ، وضَمرةَ بنِ حَبيبٍ، ونُعيمِ بنِ زِيادٍ، عنْ أَبي أُمامَةَ، سَمِعَ عَمرَو بنَ عَبسَةَ؛ أَتيتُ النَّبيَّ ﷺ، وهوَ نازِلٌ بِعُكاظَ، قلتُ: منْ تَبِعَكَ (¬٣)؟ قالَ: "رجُلانِ: أَبُو بَكرٍ، وبِلالٌ". فأسْلمْتُ، فَرأيتُنِي رُبُعَ الإسلامِ، قُلتُ: أَمكثُ مَعكَ، أوْ أَلحقُ بِقومِي؟ قَالَ: "الحَقْ بِقومِكَ، فَيُوشكُ اللَّهُ أنْ يَفيءَ بِمنْ تَرَى إلَى الإسْلامِ". ثمَّ أَتيتُهُ قُبَيلَ (¬٤) فَتحِ مَكةَ، فَسلَّمتُ عَليهِ. سَكنَ الشَّامَ.
