[٣٨٤١] رَبِيعةُ بنُ أَبي عبدِ الرَّحمنِ، أَبو عُثمانَ، مَولى التَّيْمِيِّينَ، المَدينيُّ (¬٢)، الرَّأيُ (¬٣). واسْمُ أَبي عبد الرحمنِ: فَرُّوخُ. سمِعَ أنسًا، والسائِبَ بنَ يَزيدَ. رَوى عنه الثوريُّ. قالَ عبدُ العزيزِ بنُ عبدِ اللَّه: حدَّثنا مالكٌ؛ قالَ (¬٤): كانَ رَبيعةُ يقولُ لابنِ شِهابٍ: إنَّ حالِي ليسَ يُشبِهُ (¬٥) حالَكَ، أنا أقولُ بِرأْيٍ، مَن شاءَ أخَذَه، وأنتَ تُحدِّثُ عنِ النبيِّ ﷺ، فتَحفَّظْ، لا يَنبغي لِأحَدٍ يعلَمُ (¬٦) أنَّ عِندَه شيئًا (¬٧) مِن العِلمِ يُضيِّعُ نفسَه.
