[٥١٦٥] كَثِير بن الحارث، أبو أُمَيْن -بضم الهمزة- الدِّمشقيُّ (¬٢). روى عن: القاسم أبي عبد الرحمن. روى عنه: خالد بن مَعْدان -وهو أكبر منه-، وأرطاة بن المُنذر، ومعاوية بن صالح. قال أبو زرعة الدِّمشقيُّ: شيوخٌ معناهم واحدٌ: علي بن يزيد الألهانيّ، وكثير بن الحارث، وسُلَيْمان بن عبد الرحمن الدِّمشقيُّ، هؤلاء نَفرٌ من أصحاب القاسم مَوْضعهم أحسن ظاهرًا من أحاديثهم. قلت لدحيم: فكثير بن الحارث؟ قال: ما أعرفه. قلت: فَتَدْفَعهُ وقد روى عنه خالد بن مَعْدان، ومعاوية بن صالح؟ قال: لا يُدفع. وقال أبو حاتم: هو صالح الحديث. روى له: الترمذي.
