    [٤٦٥٠] عَليّ بن نُفَيل، أبو محمد الحَرَّاني الجَزَري النَّهْدي، جد أبي جعفر النُّفَيْليّ (¬٢). روى عن: سعيد بن المُسَيِّب. روى عنه: النَّضْر بن عَرَبي أبو رَوْح الباهليُّ، وأبو المَلِيح الرَّقي، وزياد بن بيان. كان أبو المليح يثني عليه ويذكر منه صلاحًا. وقال أبو حاتم: لا بأس به. وذكر أبو عروبة أنه مات سنة خمس وعشرين ومئة. روى له: أبو داود، وابن ماجه.
