    ١٢٨٥- جروة بن يزيد الطائي ذكره أبو حاتم السجستاني في المعمّرين وقال: عاش نحوا من مائة سنة، ثم أدرك الإسلام، وغزا الترك مع الأحنف بن قيس في زمن عثمان، فأصابته ضربة فشلّت يده، فأعطاه الأحنف ديتها، ثم نزل بلخ [ (١) ] ، وكان يكثر الغزو في الترك، وهو شيخ كبير إلى أن قتل مع سعيد بن أبجر، وله في ذلك أشعار كثيرة.
