    [٢٧١٤] زياد بن فيروز، أبو العالية البرَّاء البَصْري القُرَشي مولاهم (¬١). كان يبري النبل، وقيل: اسمه: أذينة، وقيل: كلثوم، وقيل: زياد بن أذينة. سمع: ابن عمر، وابن عباس، وابن الزبير، وأبا بَرْزَة الأسلمي، وعبد الله بن الصامت، وطلق بن حبيب. روى عنه: أيوب السختياني، وعاصم الأحول، والحسن بن أبي الحسناء، وعمران أبو الهذيل الصنعاني. قال أبو زرعة: ثقة. روى له: البخاري، ومسلم.
