[٢٦٤٠] زَبَّان بن فائد المِصْريّ الحَمْرَاوي -بفتح الحاء المهملة- وهي محلَّة بطرف فُسطاط مِصْر (¬١). كان على المَظالِم بمِصْر أيام عبد الملك بن مَرْوان، وموسى بن نُصَيْر. روى عن: سَهْل بن معاذ بن أنس الجُهَنيِّ نسخة. روى عنه: يحيى بن أيوب، واللَّيْث بن سَعْد، وسعيد بن أبي أيوب، ورِشْدِين بن سَعْد، وعبد الله بن لَهِيعَة. قال أحمد بن حنبل: أحاديثه مناكير. وقال يحيى بن معين: شَيخٌ ضَعيفٌ. وقال أبو حاتم: صالح. روي له: أبو داود، والترمذي، وابن ماجه.
