[٢٥٧١] الربيع بن زياد بن أنس بن الدَّيَّان، وهو: يزيد بن قَطَن بن زياد ابن الحارث بن مالك بن ربيعة بن كَعْبٍ الحارثيُّ، أبو فراس، ويقال: أبو عبد الرحمن (¬١). سمع: عمر بن الخطاب، وأُبي بن كَعْب. روى عنه: أبو مِجْلَز، وأبو نَضرة إن كان محفوظًا، وقتادة، كان عاملًا لمعاوية على خراسان، والحسن بن أبي الحسن كاتبه، فلَمَّا بلغه مقتل حُجْر بن عديّ وأصحابه قال: اللهم إن كان للربيع عِنْدك خَيْر فاقبضه إليك وعَجِّل، فَزَعموا أنه لم يَبْرح من مَجْلِسه حتى مات. وقيل: قُتِل حُجْر سنة إحدى وخمسين. قال الحاكم أبو أحمد: ولا أبعد أن تكون تكنيته بأبي فراس خطأ. روي له: أبو داود، والنَّسائي، وابن ماجه.
