[٢٤٧٩] خَلِيفة بن خَيَّاط العُصْفُريُّ، أبو عَمْرو، المعروف بشباب (¬٢). كان عالمًا بالنَّسَب، وأيام النَّاس، والسِّير. روى عن: حَمَّاد بن سَلَمَة، ويزيد بن زُرَيع، وعبد الوَهَّاب بن عبد المجيد الثَّقَفِي، وعبيد الله بن موسى، ومُعْتَمر بن سُلَيْمَان، وبِشْر بن المُفَضَّل، وأبي داود الطَّيَالِسِيّ، والفَضْل بن العلاء، والقَعْنَبِيِّ، وعبد الأعلى السَّامِيّ، وكثير بن هِشام، وَوَهْب بن جَرِير. روى عنه: أبو زرعة، وأبو حاتم، والبخاري، وأبو يَعْلَى المَوْصِلِيّ، ومحمد بن غالب تَمْتَام، وأحمد بن عليّ الأَبَّار. قال محمد بن عبد الله الحَضْرَمِي: مات سنة أربعين ومئتين.
