[١٧٥٦] أسير بن جابر العبدي، أبو الخيار (¬٢). كذا قال أهل البصرة، وقال أهل الكوفة: يسير بن عمرو. وقال سعيد: أسار بن عمرو (¬٣). أدرك الجاهلية، وتوفي النبي ﷺ وهو ابن عشر سنين، كذا قال ابنه. وسمع: عمر بن الخطاب، وعبد الله بن مسعود، وسلمان، وسهل ابن حُنيف. روى عنه: أبو نَضْرة العبدي، وزُرارة بن أوفي، وحُميد بن هلال، وواقع بن سَحْبان، وأبو إسحاق الشيباني. ذكر أبو نعيم أنه كان عريفًا في زمن الحجاج. قال محمد بن سعد: توفي سنة خمس وثمانين في ولاية الحجاج. روي له: مسلم.
