[٥٣٩] مَعْن بن يزيد بن الأخْنَس بن حَبيب بن جُرَّة بن زِعْب -بكسر الزاي، والعين المهملة- بن مالك بن عفاف بن عُصَيَّة بن خُفاف بن امرئ القيس بن بُهثة بن سُلَيم بن منصور بن عكرمة بن خَصَفَة بن قيس عَيلان (¬٣). له ولأبيه ولجده صحبة من النبي ﷺ رُوي له عن رسول الله ﷺ ستة أحاديث، نزل الكوفة، وله بدمشقدار، وشهد يوم مرْج راهِط مع الضَّحَّاك بن قيس، وقدم مصر سنة ثلاث وأربعين، وصار إلى الإسكندرية. روى عنه: أبو الجويرية حِطَّان بن خُفَاف، وسهل بن دِرَاع. روى له البخاري حديثًا واحدًا، وأبو داود.
