[٣٦٢] عتبان بن مالك بن ثعلبة بن العجلان بن عمرو بن العَجْلان بن زيد ابن غَنْم بن سالم بن عوف بن عمرو بن الخزرج، وقيل: هو ابن مالك بن ثعلبة بن العَجْلان بن عَمرو بن العَجْلان بن زيد بن سالم ابن عوف الخزرج الأنصاري السَّالمي (¬٣). شهد بدرًا.رُوي له عن النبي ﷺ عشرة أحاديث، اتفقا على حديث واحد. روى عنه: محمود بن الربيع، وأنس بن مالك. مات بالمدينة في خلافة معاوية. روى له: النَّسائي، وابن ماجه.
