[٢٥٠] الصَّعْب بن جَثَّامة بن قيس بن عبد الله بن يَعْمُر، وهو الشَّدَّاخ بن عوف بن كعب بن عامر بن ليث اللَّيثي الحجازي، أخو مُحَلَّم (¬١). وإنما سمي يَعْمُر بالشَّدَّاخ لأنه شدخ الدماء بين بني أسد بن خزيمة وبين خُزاعة، يعني أهدرها. روي له عن رسول الله ﷺ ستة عشر حديثًا، اتفقا له على حديث واحد، وقد تفرق هذا الحديث ثلاثة أحاديث. روى عنه: عبد الله بن عباس. مات في خلافة أبي بكر الصديق، كان ينزل وَدَّان من أرض الحجاز. روى له الجماعة.
