[١٩٣] سُرَّق بن أَسَد الجُهَني، ويقال: الأنصاري، ويقال: إنه رجل من بني الديل، سكن مصر (¬٣). روى عبد الله بن يزيد مولى المنبعث، عن رجل من أهل مصر عنه،كان اسمه الحُباب، فيما يقولون، فسماه رسول الله ﷺ سُرَّق لأنه ابتاع من رجل من أهل البادية راحلتين كان قدم بهما المدينة، فأخذهما ثم هرب وتغيب عنه، فأتي به النبي ﷺ فقال: "أنت سُرَّق. . ." الحديث. وكان يقول: سماني رسول الله ﷺ سُرَّق فلا أحب أن أُدْعَى بغيره. روي له: ابن ماجه.
