[١٠٧] حبيب بن مسلمة بن مالك بن وهب، وقيل: ابن الأكبر بن وهب ابن ثعلبة بن وايلة -بالياء باثنتين من تحتها- بن عمرو بن شيبان بن محارب بن فِهر، الفِهْرِي القُرَشِي، يُكْنَى أبا عبد الرحمن (¬١). روى عن النبي ﷺ في النَّفْل، وقد اختُلف في صحبته، وقال هو: "شهدتُ النبيَّ ﷺ في البَدْأَة الرُّبع، وفي الرَّجْعَة الثُّلُث"، وكان يُسمى حبيب الروم؛ لكثرة مجاهدته الروم. روى عنه: زياد بن جارية التميمي، وعبد الرحمن بن أبي أمية، وقَزَعَة بن يحيى، ومالك بن شُرَحْبيل. توفي بأرض أرمينية سَنَة اثنتين وأربعين، وسِنُّه خمسون سنة، وقيل: لم يبلغ خمسين. روي له: أبو داود، وابن ماجه.
