    أهبان بن أوس الأسلمي. ويقال وهبان، له صحبة، وبايع تحت الشجرة، وصلى القبلتين، ونزل الكوفة، ومات بها في ولاية المغيرة، قيل: إنه مكلم الذئب، وقيل: إن مكلم الذئب أهبان بن عياذ الخزاعي. روى له البخاري حديثا موقوفا في المغازي من رواية مجزأة بن زاهر عنه. قلت: وذكر الطبري، والبلاذري، وقبلهما أبو عبيد، و [ابن] الكلبي، أن مكلم الذئب اسمه أهبان بن الأكوع الأسلمي، والله أعلم. قال ابن منده: وهو عم سلمة بن عمرو بن الأكوع الأسلمي، والله أعلم. • ت ق -
