    ٤٢٢١ - (د) عُمَرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ السَّيَّارِيُّ أبو حفص الصفَّار البصري (¬٢) نزيل الثغر. ذكره ابن حبان في كتاب "الثقات" وقال: مستقيم الحديث. كذا ذكره المزي وقد أغفل منه -إن كان رآه- شيئًا عرى كتابه منه جملة وهو: مات سنة بضع وأربعين ومائتين وخرج حديثه في "صحيحه" عن الحسن بن سفيان عنه. وقال مسلمة: روى عنه بقي -يعني- ولا يروي إلا عن ثقة عنده كما أسلفناه. وفي كتاب "الجرح والتعديل" عن الدارقطني: لا بأس به.
