    ٣٩٧١ - وعلي بن سهل، أبو الحسن، الدينوري، الزاهد (¬٢) كان يميل إلى الصوفية؛ إلا أنه كان فقيهًا في الشريعة، صليبًا في الحق، لم تأخذه في اللَّه تعالى لومة لائم. مات بمصر يوم الثلاثاء لثماني عشرة ليلة خلت من رجب سنة إحدى وثلاثين وثلاثمائة، ذكره مسلمة في كتاب "الصلة". ذكرناهم للتمييز بينهم.
