    ٣٩٠١ - (عس) علباء بن أبي علباء، عم عمرو بن غزي (¬٣) عن علي بن أبي طالب. روى عنه ابن أخيه عمرو بن غزي. ذكره ابن حبان في كتاب "الثقات". وقد قيل: إن علباء بن أبي علباء هذا هو ابن أحمد كذا ذكره المزي، وفيه نظر؛ وذلك أن علباء هذا كوفي، والأول بصري، قاله محمد بن إسماعيل البخاري، ونسب عمرًا ابن أخيه بكريًا. وكذا متعلمه ابن حبان. ولم أر أحدًا جمع بينهما ولا قاله، وأظنه تخرصًا من المزي، واللَّه تعالى أعلم.
