٣٨٤٧ - (تمييز) عدي بن الفضل، ويقال: ابن القضيل، ويقال: ابن الفصيل - بالصاد المهملة (¬١) يروي عن عمر بن عبد العزيز: كذا ذكره المزي. وقد عاب الرازيان على البخاري كونه سمى أباه فضلا، قالا: إنما هو الفضيل -يعني: بالياء-. فتقديم المزي الفضل على الفضيل على هذا، غير جيد. وأما الذي جعله المزي أولا فهو اختيار ابن معين، فيما حكاه ابن ماكولا.
