    ٢٥٩٠ - (ت) شهاب بن كليب بن شهاب (¬٤) كذا ذكره المزي، وقد تولى رد هذا القول أبو نعيم الحافظ، فقال: وذكر بعض المتأخرين -يعني: ابن منده- أنه: شهاب بن كليب بن شهاب الجرمي، ولم يأت فيه تبيان، وقال ابن الأثير: شهاب بن كليب بن شهاب ليس بشيء، يعني: هذه النسبة. وقال ابن السكن: شهاب الجرمي جد عاصم بن كليب، يقال: له صحبة، وليس بمشهور في الصحابة، وفي "الطبقات" لخليفة: كان زوج أخت الفلتان بن عاصم.
