    أبو (٤) الحسن المعاني من أهل معان (٥) من البلقاء أحد شيوخ الصوفية له معاملات وكرامات قال إبراهيم بن شيبان خرجت مع أبي عبد الله المغربي على طريق تبوك (٦) فلما أشرفنا على معان كان له بمعان شيخ يقال له أبو الحسن المعاني ينزل عليه وما كنت رأيته قبل ذلك وسمعت باسمه فوقع في خاطري إذا دخلت إلى معان قلت له يصلح لنا عدسا بخل فالتفت إلي الشيخ فقال لي احفظ خاطرك فقلت له ليس إلا خيرافأخذ الركوة من يدي فجعلت أتقلب على الرمضاء (٧) وأقول لا أعود فلما رضي عني رد الركوة إلي فلما دخلنا إلى معان قال لي الشيخ أبو حسن وما رآني قط قد عاد خاطرك على الجماعة كل من عندنا عدس بخل ٨٤٦٥ -
