يحيى (٤) بن عبد الغفار بن عبد المنعم بن إسماعيل أبو الكرم سمع ببغداد أبا محمد التميمي سمعت منه كتاب (٥) الناسخ والمنسوخ لبنيه وفي آخره إنشادات عن التميمي أخبرنا أبو الكرم قال أنشدنا أبو محمد التميمي لنفسه * وما شنآن الشيب من أجل لونه * ولكنه حاد إلى اليسر (٦) مسرع إذا ما بدت منه الطليعة آذنت * بأن المنايا خلفها تتطلع فإن (٧) قصها المقراض جاءت بأختها * وتطلع تتلوها ثلاث وأربع وإن خضب حال الحطاب لأنه * يحاول صنع الله والله أصنع ويضحى كريش الديك فيها تلمع * وأقطع ما يكساه ثوب ملمع * ٨١٧٦ -
