محمد بن يزيد بن محصن الأزدي من شعراء أهل اليمن قال يلوم قومه على التقصير في حرب أبي الهيذام فيما قرأت بخط ابي الحسن ما ذكر أنه أفاده بعض أهل دمشق عن أبيه وجده وأهل بيته من المريين قال قال محمد بن يزيد بن محصن الأزدي أزد عمان * ألوم على الخذلان قومي * وأنا أخص بلومي القين والحي من كلب هما هيجا الحرب التي أفدت بها * سبا لهب ما مثلها خلت من حرب فلما دعونا الحي كلبا لنصرنا * تولوا وقالوا أنتم إخوة الذنب وأم أمير المؤمنين أين يحدك * يلمع (٥) الدماء بالفرائض والكسبرحلنا لنا الثغر المخوف وقد * بدت لنا شارات حربا حلت عن الحطب * ٧١١٥ -
