محمد بن محمد بن علي بن الحسين (٢) بن علي بن إبراهيم بن علي بن عبد (٣) الله بن الحسين (٤) الأصغر (٥) بن علي بن الحسين (٦) بن علي بن أبي طالب أبو الحسن بن أبي جعفر العلوي الحسيني النسابة البغدادي قدم دمشق سنة ثمان وسبعين وثلاثمائة وذكره أبو الغنائم النسابة وذكر أنه اجتمع به بدمشق وطبرية ومصر وسمع منه علما كثيرا وذكر أن له كتبا كثيرة من تصنيفه وشعرا وذكر أنه انتقل من بغداد إلى الموصل ثم رجع إلى بغداد سنة خمس وثلاثين وأربعمائة وله إذ ذاك مائة سنة إلا سنتين وكان يعرف بين الأشراف بشيخ الشرف ومولده سنة ثمان وثلاثين وثلاثمائة وتوفي سنة سبع وثلاثين وأربعمائة ٦٩٧٢ -
