عيسى بن أحمد بن هبة بن أحمد بن المفضل أبو القاسم الموصلي الواعظ المعروف بالحنيك قدم دمشق قبل العشر وخمسمائة ووعظ بها وكان له قبول عند العامة وحدث بها عن ابي القاسم نصر بن محمد بن أحمد بن صفوان الموصلي ثم خرج عن دمشق وغاب مدة ثم قدمها واستوطنها وترك الوعظ واشتغل بالمحاضرة وبإنشاد أحاجي الناس وما لا يليق بأهل العلم وكان في دينه رقة على ما ذكر لي عنه عدة من أثق به قتل أبو القاسم الموصلي ليلة الإثنين الثاني والعشرين من شوال سنة اثنتين واربعين وخمس مائة بعد عشاء الآخرة عند باب بيته ولم يظهر علي قاتله ٥٤٨٩ -
