عمر بن أحمد بن علي أبو الحارث قاضي دمشق ولي القضاء بها نيابة عن القاضي أبي زرعة محمد بن عثمان بن زرعة (٤)أنبأنا أبو محمد بن الأكفاني نا عبد العزيز بن الكتاني أنا تمام بن محمد إجازة أنا أبو عبد الله بن مروان نا ابن فيض قال استخلف أبو زرعة على دمشق أحمد بن المعلى وعمر بن أحمد بن علي أبا الحارث وفارس بن أحمد فتوفي فارس وبقي أحمد بن المعلى وأبو الحارث بن علي وتوفي أحمد بن المعلى في سنة ست وثمانين ومائتين فأقام عمر بن أحمد بن علي خليفته وحده إلى أن توفي عمر في سنة تسعين ومائتين فاستخلف أبو زرعة أحمد بن علي بن سعيد المروزي (١) ٥١٧٦ -
