    عبد الوهاب بن عزون قاضي بانياس توفي بدمشق في يوم الأحد لثلاث بقين من شهر ربيع الآخر سنة سبع وتسعين وثلاثمائة وصلي عليه بعد صلاة العصر في الجامع وكان الذي صلى عليه القاضي أبوعبد الله بن ابي الديس ودفن في مقابر باب الفراديس وكان قد انكسر عليه ألف ومائتا دينار من ضمان ضياع السلطان ببانياس فأشخصه العامل خلف بن إسماعيل فنزل عند أبي القاسم بن القاطوع ثم اعتل ومات ولم يحاسب قرأت جميع ذلك بخط عبد المنعم بن علي بن النحوي وقرأت بخط عبد العزيز بن أحمد الكتاني توفي عبد الوهاب بن عزون يوم السبت لسبع خلون من ذي القعدة سنة أربع عشرة وأربعمائة فأظن الذي ذكر عبد العزيز غير الذي ذكر ابن النحوي فالله أعلم ٤٣٨٤ -
