عبد الصمد بن الحسين بن أحمد بن عبد الصمد بن محمد ابن تميم بن غانم بن الحسن أبو المعالي بن أبي القاسم التميمي الخطيب الشاهد كان حافظا للقرآن وقرأ على أبي عبد الله الأندلسي بروايات وسمع حديثا كثيرا من شيوخنا أبي القاسم النسيب وأبي طاهر بن الحنائي وأبي عبد الله بن أبي العلاء وأبي محمد بن الأكفاني وغيرهم وكان يمتنع من الرواية لاشتغاله بأسباب الدنيا وحدث بشئ يسير وكان أمينا لم يعرف (١) في شهادة وكان مولده ليلة الاثنين النصف من جمادى الأولى سنة ثلاثوتسعين وبلغ ثمانيا وستين سنة وأربعة أشهر وتوفي يوم الخميس ودفن بكرة يوم الجمعة النصف من شهر رمضان سنة إحدى وستين وخمسمائة بجبل قاسيون ٤٠٧٠ -
