عبد الدائم بن عمر بن الحسين أبو محمد الكتاني العسقلاني قدم دمشق طالب علم فسمع الحديث من الفقيه أبي الفتح نصر الله بن محمد وأكثر السماع من والدي ﵀ وكتب عنه كتبا منها كتاب الأسماء والصفات وحدث بها بمكة وبمصر ووالدي حي وسمع أبا الحسن المرادي وغيره بدمشق وقرأ القرآن على أبي بكر القرطبي بعده (٥) ثم عاد إلى عسقلان فلما استولى عليها الكفار خذلهم الله انتقل إلى مصر ثم جاور بالحجاز مدة ثم عاد إلى مصر ثم رجع إلى الحجاز وهو الان مقيم بها " (٦)حرف الذال المعجمة " (١) ٣٧٢٧ -
