    حصين بن أوس، ويقال: قيس، النهشلي والد زياد بن الحصين. قدم على النبي ﷺ، وروى عنه. وعنه: ابنه، وليس بأبي جهمة. له عند النسائي حديث واحد.قلت: هو ابن أوس بن حجير بن بكر، ويقال: ابن صخير بن طلق بن بكر بن صخر بن نهشل بن دارم. وذكر المزي في الأطراف أن حديثه روي من طريق نعيم بن حصين السدوسي، عن عمه، عن جده، والسدوسي لا يجتمع مع النهشلي، فيغلب على الظن أنه غيره، وقد أوضحت ذلك في كتاب الصحابة. وذكره ابن حبان في ثقات التابعين، وقال: روى عن ابن عباس، وعنه: ابنه زياد، كذا قال، والذي روى عن ابن عباس هو أبو جهمة كما سيأتي. • ع -
