عباد بن ماعص ويقال معاذ بن ماعص الأنصاري له صحبة ويقال إنه شهد غزوة مؤتة واستشهد بها وسيأتي ذكر الاختلاف فيه في ترجمة معاذ أخيه أخبرنا أبو محمد بن (٥) الأكفاني نا أحمد بن علي الحافظ أنا محمد بن الحسين بن الفضل أنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عتاب أنا القاسم بن عبد الله بن المغيرة نا إسماعيل بن أبي أويس (٦) نا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم عن عمه موسى بن عقبة قال وقتل يومئذ يعني يوم مؤتة من المسلمين من بني زريق عباد بن ماعص ٣٠٨٠ -
