    صقر بن صفوان الكلاعي من وجوه أهل حمص شهد مرج راهط وعمر حتى جاء في الجيش الذي توجه إلى دمشق للطلب بدم الوليد بن يزيد فلما هزم الجيش بنواحي دمشق دخل الصقر فيمن دخل منهم دمشق فبايع يزيد بن الوليد فأجازه وأكرمه له ذكر وشعر قرأت على أبي الفتوح أسامة بن محمد بن زيد الغنوي عن محمد بن أحمد بنمحمد بن عمر عن أبي عبد الله محمد بن عمران بن موسى المرزباني قال الصقر بن صفوان الكلاعي لاحاه مسلمة بن عبد الملك بحضرة أخيه هشام فقال الصقر * ألا أبلغ مسيلمة بن عبد * مقالة ما جد قلب هجان أتزعم لا أبا لك أن سيفي * بعيد العهد بالمهج الحواني ولو ساءلت جدل (١) عن شياه * غداة المرج في رهج الطعان * ٢٨٩٧ -
