سلمان بن حمزة بن الخضر بن العباس أبو تميم السلمي الحداد أخو شيخنا أبي محمد عبد الكريم بن حمزة سمع أبا القاسم الحنائي وأبا بكر الخطيب وأبا الحسن بن أبي الحديد وعبد العزيز الكتاني وأبا علي الحسين بن أحمد بن أبي حريصة وأبا الحسين بن مكي وأبا نصر بن طلاب وجماعة سواهم وكان يتولى جبانة أوقاف المقربين (٣) مدة ووليها ابنه بعده عبد الرحمن بن سلمان وحدث بشئ يسير كتب عنه عمر بن أبي الحسن الدهستاني وأبو محمد بن صابر ذكر أبو محمد بن الأكفاني أن سلمان بن حمزة بن الخضر السلمي توفي في يوم السبت التاسع والعشرين من جمادى الآخرة سنة خمس وتسعين وأربعمائة بدمشق٢٦٠٢ -
