    سعيد بن عقبة الطبراني مولى بني الحارث بن كعب كاتب (٣) يزيد بن عبد الملك أخبرنا أبو غالب محمد بن الحسن أنا أبو الحسن السيرافي أنا أحمد بن إسحاق نا أحمد بن عمران أنا موسى بن زكريا نا خليفة بن خياط (٤) قال في تسمية عمال يزيد (٥) الخراج والجند أسامة بن زيد ثم عزله وولاها عبيد (٦) الله بن الحبحاب مولى بني سلول ثم ولاه مصر وجعل مكانه سعيد بن عقبة مولى بني الحارث بن كعب وذكر أبو الحسين الرازي في تسمية كتاب أمراء دمشق وذكر أنه مكث واليا ديوان العرب حتى مات هشام بن عبد الملك وهو عليه واعمل (٧) سعيد فانصرف إلى طبرية واستخلف محمدا ابنه فأقره الوليد بن يزيد حتى مات ٢٥٣٠ -
